The Arizona LeadingAge Fall Prevention & Training Program was built to provide comprehensive and ongoing education to aging services providers. In 2021, the Arizona State Legislature passed SB1373 requiring nursing care institutions to provide a training program to ALL staff regarding fall prevention and fall recovery. The regulation includes initial and continued competency trainings.

Each module presents a deep-dive into fall prevention, specific department approaches to fall prevention, and fall recovery through powerpoints, resources, and a quiz. To be in compliance with state regulations each module includes competency tests for staff.  

Modules

• Introduction to Fall Prevention
• Choose the module that relates to your aging services setting
• • Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living Centers, Licensed Residential Homes, or Adult Day Centers
• Fall Recovery 

Target Audience: Executive Directors, Administrators, Nurse Leaders, Assisted Living Managers, Program Managers, Lead Caregivers.
