Fall Prevention & Recovery Program

The Arizona LeadingAge Fall Prevention & Training Program was built to provide comprehensive and ongoing education to aging services providers. In 2021, the Arizona State Legislature passed SB1373 requiring nursing care institutions to provide a training program to ALL staff regarding fall prevention and fall recovery. The regulation includes initial and continued competency trainings.

Each module presents a deep-dive into fall prevention, specific department approaches to fall prevention, and fall recovery through powerpoints, resources, and a quiz. To be in compliance with state regulations each module includes competency tests for staff
