DEMENTIA, INNOVATION + WHAT’S COMING NEXT IN HEALTHCARE
On October 15, we’ll gather at Hospice of the Valley for a day that moves from dementia care and innovative programming to some of the biggest healthcare policy and funding conversations happening right now.
We’ll begin with dementia education led by Hospice of the Valley, followed by a look at innovation happening inside our own member organizations.
Oakwood will share its Joy Theory and how it has been incorporated into its adult day programming — giving attendees practical ideas for creating more meaningful engagement and experiences.
We’ll also hear the story behind Geri-Gadget: why it was created, the need it was designed to solve and how these tools may be used within senior living and care settings.
Then, after lunch, we’re changing gears.
Our afternoon will be dedicated to a conversation with AHCCCS and the Governor’s Office about HR 1, rural health grants and what organizations across Arizona should be paying attention to.
We’ll look beyond the headlines and talk about the potential implications for:
- Workforce and HR
- Operations
- Residents and patients
- Rural healthcare
- Senior living and long-term care
- Arizona’s broader healthcare infrastructure

- Administrators and Assisted Living Managers (NCIA): The following course is pending approval for continuing education for Administrators and Assisted Living Managers.
CANCELLATIONS & NO-SHOWS

- A full refund will be given to all cancellations received 10 or more business days prior to the program.
- A $30 administrative fee will be charged to all cancellations received six to nine business days prior to the program.
- No refunds will be given to cancellations received five or fewer business days prior to the program.
- Arizona LeadingAge reserves the right to cancel the program due to insufficient enrollment in which case pre-registered participants will be notified and full refunds provided.
