  Arizona LeadingAge, in partnership with Nevvon, is offering a 41 hours of the 62 hour caregiver training program on through the Nevvon training program.

  Each online module will be completed at the students pace with competency quizzes at the end of each module.

  Arizona LeadingAge, is offering 4 hours of the 16 hour bridge program online through Podia.

  Each online module will be completed at the students pace with competency quizzes at the end of each module.

  Successful students will then be able to register for the in-person class scheduled once a month.

  After successful completion of the online and in-person training students are eligible to take the Arizona Caregiver Exam for state certification.

  Each online module will be completed at the students pace with competency quizzes at the end of each module.

  Successful students will then be able to register for the in-person class.
  

  After successful completion of the online and in-person training students will receive a certificate of completion in accordance with R9-10-122.

  CONTINUING EDUCATION

  • Continuing education credit for social workers (NASW),nursing home administrators and assisted living managers (NCIA) will be available. Participants must stay for the entire session to receive credit.
  • Administrators and Assisted Living Managers (NCIA): The event has been applied and/or approved for 6 hours of continuing education for Administrators and Assisted Living Managers.
  • Social Workers (NASW): The event has been applied and/or approved for 6 hours of continuing education for Social Workers.

  CANCELLATIONS & NO-SHOWS

  • Registrations are fully transferable. Transfers must be submitted via email Kelsie Lane no later than 48 hours prior to the session.
  • A full refund will be given to all cancellations received 10 or more business days prior to the program.
  • A $30 administrative fee will be charged to all cancellations received six to nine business days prior to the program.
  • No refunds will be given to cancellations received five or fewer business days prior to the program.
  • Arizona LeadingAge reserves the right to cancel the program due to insufficient enrollment in which case pre-registered participants will be notified and full refunds provided.
  • No-shows will be billed. No refunds for failure to log-in at the time of the event.

  Buses may drop off Participants at the Family Life Center, and park by the basketball courts.

  The Arizona LeadingAge Foundation's Kristie Larsen Fitness Challenge for Seniors is a friendly competition among Arizona LeadingAge community residents ages 65 and over. Each community is limited to 19 athletes.  Athletes must be residents of an Arizona LeadingAge Community.

  Registration Information:
  Registration Fees ~ Community Fee + Participant Fee

  • Community Fee is $475 ($489.25 if using credit card)
  • Individual Participants Fees
    * Athletes (up to 19 athletes included in Community fee) ~ $26 per person
    * Spectators ~ $26 per person (lunch included)
    *Volunteers ~ First 2 Free ~ additional volunteers $26 per person
    *Wellness Coordinator (1 per community) ~ Free
  • Lunch is provided for all registrants.
  • Athlete substitutions accepted with signed participant waiver.

  • All Athletes will act with sportsmanlike conduct and follow all events rules that are posted. There is an age limit for participation, the youngest age for Athletes to participate is 65 years.
  • All Athletes, spectators, and volunteers will be asked to adhere to a dress code policy that includes: the torso must be completely covered, spandex or skin hugging material bottoms must be covered, and no spaghetti straps or strapless tops.
